Dad I am

So as most of you all know, our little easy going, laid back, go with flow son Wyatt has one little thing which drives his mother crazy!

To be written from one of his favorite books, Green Eggs and Ham, I do not, would not, could not, will not eat from a bottle Dad I am, so says Wyatt.

This has left oh mother dearest a two sometimes three hour window to herself. We have tried everything to get that little guy to take his bottle, he will drink it in his sleep, but as many of you know, the process to get a hungry, upset baby to go to sleep, well I would rather be put to the task of solving the worlds financial problems then take that challenge on.

So here tonight, mother had plans to go out, dinner with friends, meaning Dad I am was left to the task of settling him in for the night. Now I had a plan, he has started to dabble into the solid food realm (even though the foods are in no such solid form). The plan was to fill him with orange carrots and apple sauce. Then bath, and if all went well, a poorly sung lullaby and off to na na land. Well Wyatt does not except change all that well, he needs his milk to send him off into a deep sleep. What to do what to do?

A bulb went on in my head, and it was a long shot let me tell ya, but here is what I did. I grabbed his blanky that he likes to play peek-a-boo with, covered the nipple of the bottle with it brought it up to his mouth, closed my eyes and prayed..... to my surprise he manged to get milk through his blanky and off to na na land he went. What a relief, and an even bigger one to mommy. She checked in with me shortly after Wyatt was asleep, I passed on the great news and its getting onto midnight and she is still not home. Just kidding!
