What's greater than beer, cheese and bread. When you mix them all together.

Just had to share this easy supper I made last week.

I have been searching for different kinds of bread recipes since our bread maker broke down and I came across this amazingly easy and tasty beer bread found here http://desertculinary.blogspot.com/2005/05/beer-cheese-bread.html
First step, find two beers. One for yourself and the other for the recipe.

Mix according to the direction from the link above.

While the bread was cooking I decided to make some homemade soup.

We had frozen chicken breasts in the freezer. I threw them frozen into a pot, with a whole onion peeled and halved and a couple of bay leaves. Let that all boil to cook the chicken. Once done take about two cups of the water, strain it and add it to the main soup.

Meanwhile I chopped celery, grated two whole carrots, 1 cup of grated turnip and chopped another onion. Added 10 cups of water/chicken broth mix,1 cup of barely and turned up the heat to bring everything to a boil. Season the soup with salt and black pepper. Once the the veggies are kinda of tender, add some tarragon, chop-up the cooked chicken breasts and add some fresh dill.

Tada Finished Product.

ah School starts again!

Well sorry for the no posty posty for the past little while folks!

You can thank my professors for that, as school started in full swing on Sept 9th and I have not had a creative thought in my brain since then, because all brain power has been deverted to school work.

So here is a little up date as to what is going on in our family.

Hailey has developed herself a crush on Justin Bieber. She spent a solid week trying to win tickets to his concert through the local radio station. In the end she did not end up with any tickets, but did get a performance from Jason Bieber and his back up singer Lindsay. We were glad we were able to bring a little laughter to her that night as not being able to go to the concert crushed our little Hailey's heart.

Wyatt is growing like a weed! Has met a few milestones but has yet to master them, Rolling over from his front to his back is one of them, it takes some coxing but sooner than later he will have it under his belt.

Lindsay is enjoying every minute being at home, she has found her stride again at being a new Mom, and is not wanting this time to ever end.

As for me, school, school, basement is all that is going through my head these days. This year is proving to be more challenging than the last, but that just comes with the territory. I am lucky to have such a great family that support me so much, without them I do not know if I could handle all the stress.

Keep your eyes glued to the blog as a good "photographer" friend of mine is going to be taking some nice family shots for us in this nice fall weather we are having here. Can't wait!!!

Take care and enjoy hearing from any or all of you.
